"Each one of us can make a difference. Together we make a change."
- Barbara Mikulski
The Human Resources Foundation was established in order to help guarantee continuity of programming and service to individuals with disabilities at the Human Resources Center and at charitable organizations and nonprofits throughout Northeast Pennsylvania.
Through annual grant giving, the Human Resources Foundation strives to make an impactful change within our community. We assist those that are working towards making our region more inclusive, diverse and equitable through their services, programming, and/or special projects - helping to empower the lives of those they support.
Are you a local charitable or nonprofit organization operating out of Lackawanna, Luzerne, Pike, Wayne, Carbon, Monroe or Susquehanna County? Do you have a special project, initiative, program or service that benefits and/or supports individuals with disabilities? See if the Human Resources Foundation might be able to help fund your efforts.

2020 Community Giving Initiatives
When the stay-at-home order was issued in PA earlier this year, the Human Resources Foundation recognized the financial hardship that many of our community would face amidst the Coronavirus pandemic.
We took action - with a decision to focus our 2020 grant giving initiatives on providing critical COVID-19 relief, feeling a deep responsibility to address the immediate needs of the communities we serve and support. Our wish was to offer financial support throughout Northeast Pennsylvania to those who faced abrupt and overwhelming challenges in their efforts to provide essential services to individuals and families.
